Trump says he is ‘not asking’ China for any favors with Iran

(NewsNation) — Questions remain around whether China will assist in the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz following this week’s U.S.-China summit in Beijing. China has a big stake in the game due to the amount of oil it purchases from Iran. According to the White House, there was significant agreement between Beijing and Washington when it comes to the dynamics at play in the Middle East. President Donald Trump was asked point blank if he wants China to use its leverage over Iran to move them on some of these negotiations.
