A sinkhole opened up on the Long Island Expressway on Thursday and even swallowed up a car. Officials say it was about eight feet deep and 10 feet wide. No one was hurt, but the sinkhole forced the closure of several lanes, causing a big backup as the afternoon rush got underway.
