"I was born the year Angela went missing. I’m from the same area, and her mom was my boss! She would drive past the same parking lot where that payphone was every day… Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago. She didn’t deserve to go all those years without any answers. She never gave up on Angela, but she still made sure to find happiness while she was here… She had a big heart and made everyone feel loved. My kids have handmade blankets from Mama Marsha that will always be cherished! I hope the rest of her loved ones get closure."—u/NeighborhoodSafe8822

"My fifth-grade class visited the local news station in Minnesota before she moved. I remember them saying that she got a new job and was moving (to Iowa). I only saw her back as she was entering an office for the noon news broadcast. She was wearing a purple sweater. Never forgot that school trip."—u/Slow-Willingness-718

Shortly after, investigators discovered Steven's secret recordings of Susan, his confessions of love for her, child sexual abuse images, etc. He was charged with voyeurism and possession of child pornography and died in 2018, a year after his prison release.

"The poor social worker who had to take the kids to visitation with the dad is also who I think about. She was handing them off when he shoved them inside and slammed the door shut. She told 911 that she smelled gasoline and could hear the two boys crying. The house ends up exploding, and it was found that the dad axed the kids before causing the explosion."—u/amourxloves

"Even if his friends didn’t do anything, this underscores why you should never leave a friend behind! Don’t leave your drunk friend on an island with no definitive way to get back. Even if the island is popping for the holiday, I wouldn’t feel comfortable knowing my friend was vulnerable with no sure way to get back home."—u/Euphoric-Leg4874
