Jon Stewart Spots Exactly What Makes 'Poor Little Billionaire' Trump Super Happy

Jon Stewart is spelling out what puts President Donald Trump on cloud nine. Stewart, when asked by producer Brittany Mehmedovic if he thinks Trump is happy on the latest episode of his “Weekly Show” podcast, teased that he “never considered” such a question. “Oh boy,” began Stewart before continuing, “Poor, poor little billionaire president.” The comedian went on to stress that Trump is “animated by vengeance.” “And so, paradoxically, yes. I think he is happy that his body is a bile production facility. Whereas you and I live aerobically, he lives anaerobically and therefore is happy in his oxygen-less world,” Stewart continued. Mehmedovic wondered why Trump would be “happy” with a Fourth of July weekend that saw noticeably empty seats during his weather-delayed speech, a flop of a Great American State Fair also sidelined by the weather, as well as the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool saga. “Do you believe that that is how he’s interpreting the weekend?” Stewart asked. “He put on the greatest American fair ever since the expo — since the World Expo in like 19-whatever!” He later reexamined Mehmedovic’s question. “I think when you say, ‘Is he happy,’ ‘Is he the center of attention?’ Then he’s happy because he’s animated only by our eyes and our focus and our attention,” Stewart said. “He’s the original algorithm, he drives us to his embrace and we all revolve — he is the sun and we are but the stars. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is about him. It’s about Donald Trump stepping out over the balcony, and it is east.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
