“Once, I had this overwhelming urge to text a friend of mine, just to ask how he was doing. It turned out he had been moments away from taking his own life.”

"The second time was with my grandfather. He had been in the hospital for some time in an unresponsive state. It was my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary, so a lot of family members were there. I felt that it was going to be his last day, but when I mentioned it to an aunt, she dismissed it because I couldn’t explain what felt different. His breathing was the same, his color was the same, and his hands were warm. Shortly after the younger family members left, he passed. I truly believe he didn’t want to die in front of them."

"He threw him over his shoulder and ran back to the house to warm him up. The whole thing took about four minutes. It was too far away to hear anything, and somehow, I just knew."

"I was hiring someone to watch my elderly cats. He seemed fine, I found him on Rover. My vet asked for his first and last name to keep on file in case he had to bring them in while we were gone, but the app only shows first names. He gave me his full name, and I kept looking at it and his picture, it just felt weird and off.

So I Googled him. He had been accused of assaulting multiple women on his college campus, and the school was being sued for discouraging women from going to the police."

"I also told a trucker friend that I had a bad feeling about him stopping at a certain truck stop we’d both been to before. He stopped anyway. All his trailer tires were slashed, and half his load ended up spilled into a ditch behind the stop. 

More recently, I was at work when that same feeling hit me hard. I called my boyfriend to check on him, and that’s when I found out his mother had gone into cardiac arrest and was clinically dead for six minutes. I don’t know why I get these feelings or what they really are. But when something feels wrong, I start calling or texting people because something is wrong. 

Edit: His mother is doing fine and resting at home. She survived, but it gave everyone a scare."

Six months later, he was caught cheating on his wife, doing a lot of drugs, being secretly emotionally abusive toward her, and sexually assaulting her."

When I finished work, it had started snowing heavily. Something in my gut told me not to take a cab to where they were. I listened to it. There ended up being a massive pileup on the exact route I would have taken. Several people were killed or seriously injured."
