By the numbers 31% The share of employees who report feeling engaged at work, according to a Gallup report. 32% The percentage of employees surveyed by Monster who said their workplaces have grown more serious in the past year. 55% The share of workers who said they received AI-generated “workslop” — low-effort AI outputs that lack substance — from a manager or supervisor, per a report by resume templates service Zety. 57% The percentage of Black women who live in pre-emption states, which are states where laws don’t require employers to provide paid sick leave and prohibit local governments from passing paid sick leave laws. $14,300 The amount women experience in median lost earnings annually as a result of the gender pay gap, according to compensation vendor Payscale.
