Camping at Black Bear: The Full Festival Experience

There’s something special about camping at Black Bear. Instead of simply showing up for the festival, you get to settle in, slow down, and experience the whole weekend from the inside out.

Our Black Bear experience started with setting up camp and getting comfortable, knowing we had an entire festival weekend ahead of us. Once everything was ready, it was time to explore, listen to live music, grab some good food, and take in the atmosphere.

One of my favorite parts has been experiencing the festival with the kids. This morning, we got to see the Gremlin Griffins, and it was such a fun surprise. They interacted with the kids, who absolutely loved it. Moments like that are what make a family festival experience so memorable.

Of course, the music is a huge part of Black Bear. There’s something about sitting outside, surrounded by other festivalgoers, listening to live performances, and enjoying the summer air that makes the whole experience feel different from a typical concert.

Camping also gives you the chance to experience the festival at your own pace. There’s no rushing home after the last performance or trying to fit everything into a few hours. You wake up at the festival, spend the day exploring, and end the night back at your campsite.

For me, that’s what makes camping at Black Bear so much fun. It’s not just about the music it’s about the little moments in between. The kids discovering something new, meeting people, enjoying the food, dancing to live music, and simply spending time together as a family.

Black Bear has turned into more than just a festival stop for us. It’s become a weekend adventure and I’m excited to keep sharing our experience along the way.
